MaPoésie has been revisiting the accessories and decor sectors for 10 years. Recently, the brand made their first foray into ready-to-wear.
Initially focused on accessories, such as bags, pouches, eyeglass cases, the brand really made a name for itself with their unique, patterned scarves. Rugs and cushions were also created for a home collection, then a bath collection with foutas, towels and pouches. With the 2020 winter collection, MaPoésie introduced its first range of ready-to-wear pieces, just as bold and graphic as its iconic scarves.
Often collaborating with artists from different areas (contemporary artists, designers, graphic designers…) for capsule collections, MaPoésie is widely distributed, from France and Europe to Japan, the United States and Australia. With over 300 stores, the brand is available at le Bon Marché, Le Printemps and in concept stores or museum shops (Georges Pompidou Center, Louisiana Museum in Denmark, MoMA in San Francisco…).
Elsa Poux’ passion for bold and bright, unusual strong patterns is the heart and soul of the MaPoésie brand. Elsa’s experience and travels have introduced her to many different forms of traditional craftsmanship and fabrics; her voyages also led her to discover intricate weaving methods and unique techniques, forming her taste and approach to design. Screen printing, a technique that dates back centuries in India, strongly influences her designs season after season. She adapted the ancestral technique to use on many beautiful natural fabrics such as wool, cotton or silk.
