Serge Guilloux graduated from both Paris Arts Décoratifs and Cours Berçot and began his career in 1977 at Yves Saint Laurent. Two years later he created his own home-wear brand “Caracalla” and opened his first store in Paris, where he designed silk sleepwear and bathrobes alongside bath accessories with an Art déco flair. This first brand was such a success it charmed clients everywhere, from New-York to Tokyo.
With a name that was becoming quickly a staple in the 80’s, many French fashion brands asked him to design collections for foreign markets, including the popular brands Guy Laroche and Christian Aujard. In the meantime, Serge contributed to the Woolmark and Lycra trend books for Dupont de Nemours, kept presenting his own collections, opened several boutique stores in Paris, and licensed his products in Japan.
In 2016, Serge went back to his roots, revisiting terry cloth to introduce a new Afterbeach collection under a new label: Serge Guilloux.
Combining comfort with elegant pieces, Serge Guilloux offers a vast after-bath collection including bathrobes, swimsuits, dresses, skirts, tee-shirts, rompers, jackets, etc.
Made entirely of terry cloth fabric, Serge Guilloux’ collection revisits a fabric often seen as a homewear-exclusive and uses its intrinsic comfort as the foundation of two colorful ready-to-wear lines: the retro-chic riviera line, in colors as bright as summer: yellow, pink, orange ; and a permanent nautical collection, made of timeless classics, in white and navy blue.
Serge Guilloux’s retro-chic athleisure collection is resolutely elegant, timeless and functional. It offers the versatility a vacationing woman needs without sacrificing style or comfort, in a contemporary style for the beach, spa or resort.
